Canweb TV Company Information

Canweb TV International Corporation is an Ontario corporation. The company has a main purpose, which is to display entertaining and educational television like programming to the entire world over the Internet. This is called "Webcasting".

Advertiser revenues pay for the majority of the programs. Other programs may be sponsored by outside sources, such as is done in regular television productions. Webcasting or Internet television broadcasting applications consist of a variety of programming similar to conventional television, however appearing through a web site on the Internet, therefore reaching potentially billions of viewers, as opposed to the limited geographical audiences of conventional television.

Webcasting may also be used to further education on a global scale; the teacher could be in one city on the other side of the world and teaching his class through a webcast.

Students, who are receiving the web broadcast, could talk to the teacher via an interactive webcast that has video phone like capabilities. If the student in the webcast audience, has a "web cam" he can speak to the teacher and the teacher can see and hear the student.

The webcast product can be received through a PC (personal computer) or through a Webtv Converter, which allows webcasting for those without a PC (A "Web Cam" is a device used to send video over the Internet utilizing an average home or business computer).
